Welcome to Beech Class. The class teacher is Mrs Burn and the teaching assistant is Ms Jackson.
We are learning
This term we are becoming The Explorers! We will be learning all about space and dinosaurs.
We will also be looking at the stories ‘Here Come The Aliens’, ‘Alien Tea on Planet Zum Zee’ and ‘Harry and a Bucket Full of Dinosaurs’, which will inspire our learning.
Both Reception classes will be taking part in a free workshop called ‘The Little Green Alien from Planet Saturn’. They'll use story-telling, role-play, rhyme, song and movement to take the children on a fascinating improvisation to Outer Space. The workshop will take place on Wednesday 24th January.
Palm class assembly will be this half term on Wednesday 31st January.
Beech class assembly will be next half term on Wednesday 28th February.
The assemblies will take place at 2.45pm.
This term the children have been given a banded reading book, a reading record book and key words to help support their phonics learning. Please ensure they stay in their book bags and are brought into school every day.
Your child will be heard reading throughout the day in various activities, including a banded reading book. Their books will be changed weekly on a Monday, please indicate that you have read with your child and you are ready for the book to be changed.
All children are required to bring in clothing for Forest School and PE, which stays in school throughout the term. Please ensure all items of clothing are named, we cannot guarantee safe return otherwise.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us on our class email addresses if you have any concerns or questions at email@example.com.
