Welcome to Apple Tree Class Nursery
Our team consists of: Mrs Burn - Class Teacher and Mrs Thornton - Teaching Assistant
Please watch our Apple Class Tour for a virtual visit to our Nursery.
We are learning
Our Topic for the first half of the Summer Term is ‘Living Things’ we will be focussing on woods and woodland animals, minibeasts, the garden, flowers and birds.
The children will be encouraged to talk about stories, make links to their own experiences and listen to others.
We have a news sheet on the window of the classroom with more detail on what the children will be learning this half term.
Information about how your child learns in an Early Years session and how to help your child at home can be found on the notice board on the Nursery entrance
HomeworkReading - Sharing books with your child really helps them to learn about the world around them and to start thinking about language.
We are happy to share the books from our book corner. Please return them by putting them into the box outside the classroom before you take another one.
Homework – Make a minibeast. Please bring in at the end of week 4.
Nursery Applications for September ’23 can now be submitted.
Deadline: Friday 24th March 2023
A minimum of 15hrs is required. Priority is given to those who request a full time place and then in decreasing order of hours requested or if your hours fill up sessions.
Further applications for September '22 will be put on a waiting list.
Forest School is on a Friday Morning this term. Can you please send your child into school on this day wearing clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. They need to wear a long sleeved top and a fleece/warm jumper. Bring wellies in a plastic bag if you don’t want your child using the school wellies. We do have all in one outer coats for the children to use over their coats.
Please do not hesitate to contact us on our class email address if you have any concerns or questions at firstname.lastname@example.org
If you need to speak to us directly about anything, then after school when you pick up your child is best.
Thank you for your support.
