Welcome to Baobab class. My name is Ms Shortt.

In Maths we will be following our Maths No Problem curriculum. We will begin the term by learning about bar graphs and then move onto learning about fractions.
In topic this half term, we are focusing on history. We will ask ‘What changed during the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages?’ and investigate aspects of early civilisation.
This term’s homework and each week’s spellings will be set on Seesaw. There is also a reading homework activity for each week which can be found in your child's Reading Record. Children are expected to read regularly and record this in their Reading Record. Please encourage your child to select a book to read from the book corner in their classroom and to choose a new book when they have finished each one. They must have their Reading Records in school every day.
PE lessons are on Mondays and Thursdays. Every child needs to bring in a full PE kit including a top of their house team’s colour, clean socks and suitable trainers.
Please do not hesitate to contact me on our class email address if you have any concerns or questions at firstname.lastname@example.org
